Information we collect

• Access request data: the email address, optional name, and project description you submit when asking to join the founding group.
• Account data: your email address, and your name/avatar if provided by GitHub during the connection step.
• Payment data: handled by Stripe. We store the Stripe customer id, price id, and checkout session id needed to activate and track your entitlement — we never see or store your card number.
• GitHub data: your GitHub user id, login, and (once you install our GitHub App) the installation id, used solely to verify your identity and grant read-only access to the private source repository.
• Provisioning and audit records: the status of your repository provisioning, and a log of account/payment/GitHub/provisioning events, kept for support and security purposes.

Purpose of data collection

We use access request data to review your request and reply with its outcome. If access is granted, we use account data to authenticate you, activate your entitlement, connect and verify your GitHub account, grant read-only access to the private source repository, and provide support if something goes wrong.

Email and legal basis

A required acknowledgement confirms that you agree to receive emails from QuickSkill about the product and your access request. We use that permission for request outcomes, invite delivery, sign-in, setup, support, and relevant product information; it is not a separate newsletter subscription.

You can withdraw that permission or ask us to delete your request at any time by contacting support. Withdrawal may prevent us from delivering access or account emails that are necessary to provide the service.

We process request and account data to take steps you ask us to take before access is granted, to provide the service after access is activated, and for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the invite and delivery process.

Data sharing

We do not sell or rent your data. We share data only with the service providers required to operate the Portal: Stripe (payments), GitHub (repository provisioning), and our email/SMTP provider (magic-link sign-in and notifications).

Data retention

We retain pending access requests while the founding program is active and approved requests as part of the access record. Account, entitlement, and provisioning records remain for as long as your account exists; audit logs are retained for a reasonable period for security and dispute-resolution purposes. You may contact us to request deletion where applicable.

Children’s privacy

The Portal is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page.
